Initiating Midlife through Creativity, Connection and Ceremony
At midlife, women become weavers. We stand in the middle of the tapestry of our lives holding the ties from our past and our current shifting reality. We begin to consciously weave our future from the wisdom we gained through the ups and downs of life.
Midlife is a crossroads and a liminal space and there is some much wisdom from the past and from nature to guide us.
Many ancestral myths. folklore and indigenous traditions link the metaphor of weaving directly to the transition and power of midlife to elderhood.
Over 4 weeks,
thru fall & winter of 2026,
we will explore the
mayhem, mystery, mischief & magic of midlife
What to expect:
A real and raw midlife circle for women in transition. We will initiate ourselves into the wild and wise women we are becoming.
We will weave mythology and cosmology from around the globe through
experiential learning, wisdom sharing, playful ceremony and art.
Women's nervous systems are made regulate through connection with other women. We will do just that through drumming, sister weaving rituals and a wide variety of creative activities led by Shannon Nicole, Wisdom Weaver and Ceremonial Artist.
Who is this for?

Wisdom Weaver & Ceremonial Artist
Shannon Nicole is a 51 year old adventurous soul who has been through a lot of shit (You can always trust someone who cusses to tell you the truth) and has learned to alchemize her pain through art and beauty. She creates large scale nature mandalas and sacred portals that transport the viewer into the realm of the soul where wonder and liberation can be found.
Her work is interactive and inspired by decades of esoteric studies, extensive world travel and spiritual alchemy. She uses roses in all of her ceremonial art experiences because they represent the wild essence of the feminine spirit.
Her events foster an experience of feeling fully alive, authentic and aroused for life as you partake in rituals that connect you to self and the collective.
A Real and Raw Women's Circle
Our time together will be transformative, contemplative, authentic, creative and liberating.
We will come together to ask hard questions, laugh, cry, play and create together.
We will listen to each other in 1:1 exchanges.
We will hold time for collective silence and simply rest together as a collective, when needed.
We will initiate ourselves into the wildness and wonder of midlife without judgement or pretense.
We will let each other be beautiful and messy all at once.

Mayhem is a state of wild confusion, rowdy disorder or chaos where there is no control. It sounds a lot like peri-menopause and menopause! Our bodies, minds and soul go into a state of metamorphosis
This feeling of chaos and loss of control serves a greater purpose. Astrologically, at midlife we go through a period called a Chiron Return, where our wounds and battle scars can becoming our greatest source of healing. We will seek to find the meaning in the messiness through storytelling, sister weaving, ceremony and creative expression.
Inspired by Pablo Picasso's words that, "Every act of creation is first an act of destruction", we will work with collage to piece together the parts of our lives that feel fragmented. You will leave with a unique altar candle made up of your life's beautiful mess. You will also discover where Chiron is in your birth chart and how to best start mending those broken parts of self.
Dress comfortably and bring a journal for reflection.

At midlife, women become weavers.

• What isn't working that needs to be let go?
• What parts need mending?
• How can I create a life that supports the women I am becoming?
We will sit with these questions and talk about about the many myths of the Weavers of Fate and Fortune. We will also participate in a Sister Weaving Ceremony that is a beautiful representation of how we are all connected in this mysterious journey of life.
Dress in all black and bring a journal for contemplation.

At midlife our hormones begin to change, our accommodating estrogen drops and all of a sudden our wild and mischievous parts begin to make themselves known. Sacred rage and sexuality are now forces to be contended with. Society says to suppress these unruly instincts. We will invite them to the table to express and play.
We will give our anger a voice thru drumming and will listen to the desires of our body through a sensual experience as we sit around a Vulva mandala and listen to what my friend, Mollie, calls the "wisdom between our legs"!
Dress in red and come with an open heart and mind. This will be a liberating evening!

Midlife is a gateway into the realm of the mystical and magical. Our intuition sharpens and the wisdom we have cultivated begins to bear fruit. Becoming an elder requires a symbolic turning inwards towards the core of one's psyche and soul, gathering a lifetime of scattered experiences into a unified and integrated whole.
The spiral represents the journey of becoming an elder because personal growth moves in repeating cycles rather than a straight line. To embody this concept we will experience a Spiral Candle Ceremony exploring the ancestral wisdom of saging and the Crone. End the evening with a ceremonial warm drink.

Shannon Nicole creates all kinds of unique immersive, interactive ceremonial art experiences incorporating natural elements, candles, mirrors and sacred objects to create mandalas that serve as a beautiful and meaningful center piece to your event. Participants are involved in adding to the mandala or disassembling it as a ritual of release. Her events are interactive experiences that awaken the senses.

$111 per person with a minimum of 6 people with interactive, custom nature mandala ceremony for 3 hrs.
Includes threshold ceremony, additional 1 hour mandala set up & 30 minute tear down, all flowers/supplies, group photo with mandala and video of your experience. Pricing can vary depending upon materials used, and size of mandala. Open to travel and trade options as well.
